    I would use a synthetic product like Starboard if it were to always be emersed in water. No matter what you coat your teak with, it will eventually get water logged.

    Hello,
    I searched about teak refinishing on the site and a thread came up about varnishes that you replied in. Since I don't know much about it I figured I would ask you what type of finish should I use on a swim platform? Since it is virtually wet all the time I didn't know if this should be varnished or oiled or what. The boards are pretty much shot so I'm thinking about putting new wood in so the boards would be brand new. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
