New Speed Temp Cable and Antenna, No more peeling coating!

Many people are asking me what we have that is new for 2012.

This year we have made a product for Moor Subtroll, Depth Raider, Speed and Temp units. We worked with Moor and Depth Raider to overcome cable peeling issues and to increase depth obtained.

The first product is not new but at it's price point becomes very affordable to most anglers. A speed and temp cable that has a copper coated core wire with stainless steel wire wrapped on the outside. This means no more peeling cable or blowback associated with the old speed and temp cable. The diameter of the new cable is very close to regular downrigger cable.

The other new item is a speed and temp antenna that disregards outside interference and focuses on the signal coming from the probe..

Combined we have reached depths of over 400 feet while still getting speed and temperature. Note that after 300 feet updates take longer due to the distance the radio signal travels from the probe.

Nice stuff, thank you very much. I was seriously considering getting rid of my depth raider once my current cable goes bad but this might change my mind. I love the depth raider but if you ever go to wireless that would keep me forever.

Saw the cable in Kenosha this spring at a show, looked great. I would have purchased on the spot if it was available.

Torpedo Divers site has been updated with up to 500' spools available. I recommend larger then 200' lengths to get the Torpedo Antenna upgrade.

Follow the link below for full instructions. It is important that the snap swivel is not painted.

more great stuff from torpedo -copper wire coated with stainless wire, should solve alot of the problems.
now if we could only get power pro to put lead (core) in the middle of their line, i emailed them several times over the years and get the response of "no plans at this time to make leadcore power pro"
Man up and get a pair - Salty's Balls

Do you need to purchase the antenna upgrade for a depth raider. Or will the old antenna (factory) work if you plan on fishing above 200 ft.
