Octopus rotary cable steer helm. I didn't think I needed hydraulic on this size boat, and think simpler is going o be mare reliable.

Added stereo speakers to the bow and upholstered bolsters. Build curved seat backs for seating and had them upholstered. Installed a Lowrance HDS5 in the bow and a Motorguide Xi5.

Work is proceeding very slowly as the youngest stepdaughter is very pregnant with #3. Between that and my son-in-law getting promoted to detective and now working days instead of graveyard shift, my baby sitting duties have increased substantially. Other than making a couple of charters trips, I'm still shorebound. Although I'll admit that hearing "I love you Papaw" fro 2 and 3 year old granddaughters several times a day goes a long way to make up for missed fishing trips.

Here are a few pics of the bow in cruising configuration.

Removing the snap in cushions and flipping down the jump seat allows putting a swivel seat into the base and converts the bow to fishing configuration in about 30 seconds.

I thought it looked just fine before, LOL. Not sure why you had to do all this work, LOLx2.

But seriously I wish I had these kind of skills it must be very rewarding to finish a project like this!
