    Flashers and Spinners

Has anyone tried this with success? I thought it may work for rainbows.

What type of spinners are you referring to? A flasher or dodger with a spin n glo is deadly for Lakers, but has caught me Browns, Steelhead, Kings, and Coho on Lake Michigan as well.

I think he means in line spinners like Mepps. I believe the moonshine flies are basically spinners with larger skirts. In-line spinners are a popular lure in west coast streams and rivers for salmon and stealhead. I would try it.

I've fished out west a fair amount around Astoria in the fall and that's all we ran. An inline spinner behind a pro-troll with a lead ball. Catch lots of fish that way, but haven't tried it on Lake Michigan. I'm sure it would work here, but I already have enough trouble deciding what to run out of the options I currently have on the boat.
